While there were continuous protests by students and political parties across the country after the cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 exam and the decision of re-examination, NEET-UG 2026 All India Rank 2 (99.9999 percentile) achievers Panshul Bansal chose a different path.
In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Panshul spoke about how he refocused his attention on studies instead of protesting on the streets and achieved historic success.
“I was disappointed in the beginning, but then I chose to study.”
Speaking to NDTV’s senior journalist Shiv Aroor, Panshul Bansal admitted that he was deeply disappointed when the first exam was canceled. He had worked hard for months, and the news of a canceled exam is mentally taxing for any student.
But Panshul refused to give up. He said:
“When I learned there would be a re-exam, I had two options—either I could spend my time participating in protests, or I could use this extra time to strengthen my preparation. I chose the latter and focused on improving my score.”
